Czech Republic School Lunch - Rice and Meat

Country: Czech Republic (Prague)

Contents: Soup, rice, chicken, dessert (is that egg on top?), juice and hot tea.

Source: 2 serving 1

Notes: Is that raw egg on the dessert? Looks like it. The food looks totally delicious, despite the egg.

  1. It could be a cooked egg...I've had desserts like that in Seville, or an apricot half.

  4. I was surprised the times I have traveled to Austria how often I see an egg served in the same manner. Looks strange but I've seen it over goulash, pizza & similar soups.

  5. It's definitely not a raw or cooked egg. It's half of an canned apricot or a peach. Eggs are not served on dessert here in the CR :-)

  9. The yellow thing is dessert, so it could not be raw egg, it is probably canned apricot on top of cocoa cake or ginger bread.

  11. Hi, I'm from the Czech Republic. It's apricot or peach compote. Compote is cooked fruit.
