Various school lunches from around the world. School lunch doesn't really represent the best a country has to offer, but we still love it, because we grew up on it.
USA School Breakfast - Egg Pizza and Raisin Bran
Country: USA
Contents: Egg and cheese pizza, milk, Rasin Bran cereal and fruit punch.
Source: http://americanlunchroom.com
Notes: Blech, that "pizza" looks totaly awful. I never had breakfast at school, but it seems like it is growing more common.
Jesus Tapdancing Christ! That pizza looks like something my dog hacked up after eating some grass. Pizza? For breakfast? Seriously? I don't even like breakfast burritos.
I had school breakfast sometimes as a kid. My mom enrolled us in the program because 1.) It was free and we were poor and 2.) She could send us to school super early to minimize the time she had to spend with us. I imagine school breakfast is still gaining popularity because of these two reasons.
And you better believe those eggs come pre-mixed in a giant milk carton. I used to cook them at my old job. It was called "Frozen Egg and it had way too many ingredients.
Three years later and I still can't eat scrambled eggs.
nasty. My elementary and middle school served breakfast, I would occasionally eat it in elementary school because it was "cool". "Breakfast pizza" was a pretty common offering, ours had egg, sausage and cheese but looked much better than that. I still never ate though because I thought it was weird to have pizza for breakfast. lol
