Notes: This lunch is from a college in Slovakia. I don't recall college students eating this healthy when I was in school. Speaking of, I'll be going to graduate school this fall. Maybe I can snab some pictures of the undergrads lunches.

Notes: I don't know that I've ever had groats, but I'd be willing to try. Heni describes them as "groats prepared in a mysterious way."

Groats are the hulled grains of various cereals, such as oats, wheat, barley, or buckwheat (which is actually a pseudocereal). It is a traditional ingredient commonly used in Eastern European cooking.

Slovakia School Lunch - Noodle Soup and Chicken Saute

Notes: Looks nice and healthy. I don't know if it is just the camera, or if the chicken saute is gray. I don't know why, but that isn't a common color in American Cuisine. Maybe it would be, if it weren't for all the artificial colorings.
