Various school lunches from around the world. School lunch doesn't really represent the best a country has to offer, but we still love it, because we grew up on it.
I think the dessert is some sort of cherry tart with cream or custard. I wish school lunches here in the US were this delicious looking and I know it tastes amazing!
Yes I agree with the "clafoutis", and if I guess right it's not just a salad but "duck magret (I don't know how it's called in english, pardon my french :p) salad", I never had such a cool lunch in french schools though, it might be an office lunch...
Price for a student: in a "Restaurant Universitaire" : 3€ (real price for state 10€) In a public high school : 3€ (real price for the "Département" and "région" 10€) In a public school : 2.60€ (real price for the "Mairie" 6,40€ at 7,50)
Dessert looks sort of like a custard and strawberry filled crepe.
ReplyDeleteThat looks wonderful. I'd absolutely 100% eat that as a kid ...and even now!!! :)

ReplyDeleteI think it's Clafoutis, a baked pudding with cherries in. much like british Yorkshire Pudding.
