France School Lunch - Poultry and Potatoes

Country:  France

Contents: Poultry, potatoes, vegetables, salad, cheese, dessert.

Source: ?

Notes: Not unlike something you would order at a restaurant. Any guesses as to what is for dessert?

  1. Dessert looks sort of like a custard and strawberry filled crepe.

  2. That looks wonderful. I'd absolutely 100% eat that as a kid ...and even now!!! :)

  3. I think the dessert is some sort of cherry tart with cream or custard. I wish school lunches here in the US were this delicious looking and I know it tastes amazing!

  4. I think it's Clafoutis, a baked pudding with cherries in. much like british Yorkshire Pudding.

  5. Wow, I wish I had that for lunch today!

  6. Yes I agree with the "clafoutis",
and if I guess right it's not just a salad but "duck magret (I don't know how it's called in english, pardon my french :p) salad", I never had such a cool lunch in french schools though, it might be an office lunch...

  7. Price for a student:
in a "Restaurant Universitaire" : 3€ (real price for state 10€)
In a public high school : 3€ (real price for the "Département" and "région" 10€)
In a public school : 2.60€ (real price for the "Mairie" 6,40€ at 7,50)
