USA School Lunch - Chicken Fried Steak and Mashed Potatoes

Country: USA (Oklahoma)

Contents: Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, two wheat rolls and apple bread pudding.

Source: Laura M.

Notes: I can remember many lunches like this. The gravy was the only thing that made it palatable. The rolls look delicious. Apple bread pudding? I bet it's awful.

  1. This is our "Made in Oklahoma" day in Oklahoma City Public Schools.
The wheat rolls are an improvement, but the processed food is laden
with MSG. Our official state meal also includes chicken fried steak
and gravy. In the nation, we are ranked 2nd for heart disease deaths,
7th for diabetes, 8th for obesity and 49th for overall health.
