  2. Hmmm, this doesn't make sense. Grampa always told me they never had school lunch when he was a kid. He said everyday around noon the teacher would throw the kids outside to fight the timber wolves for scraps. And they were thankful for those scraps. And that was after walking 15 miles uphill to school in the blistering snow barefoot in nothing but overalls.

  4. it's really sad that we gave our children better school lunches during the great depression when we all had nothing than in recent years when there's been so much excess.
